About Us Hello and thank you for visiting our site. JDJ Kennels has been a family owned and operated business since we opened for business in November of 1997. We are dedicated to raising quality toy breeds at affordable prices. If you have any questions or comments, please use our handy "Contact Us" page to send us an email or give us a call at 479-243-8128. For your convenience we have included a copy of our purchase agreement for you to look over. (Please note the actual purchase agreement will contain the shot/deworming record as well as the puppy information and your purchasing information). We have 2 different methods for shipping. First, if you choose to fly, we use Continental Airlines because of their excellent "pet safe" program. Because the puppies are in climate controlled conditions for the duration of the trip, the time of year is not a factor in shipping. Our second method is ground shipping through PetEx2. We have had very good success with both methods. Flying is faster, ground shipping is slightly more cost effective (but may not be available in your area). If you choose to come here to pick up your puppy, the shipping cost will be removed. If I need to meet you or deliver the puppy, a small fee for gas will be added if the delivery site is more than 50 miles from my home. Please do not hesitate to ask as many questions as you need in order to make a responsible decision about your new addition. A puppy is a long term investment with many rewards, but also with many responsibilities. If you do not know what breed of puppy will suit your lifestyle, please research each breed, speak to more than one breeder and then make a decision. |
| Purchase Agreement. Thank you for the purchase of one of our companion animals. This purchase agreement is your guide as to what is expected from both the buyer (you) and the seller (JDJ Kennels). If you have questions, please do not hesitate to ask either before or after the sale. A licensed veterinarian checks our puppies before sale/shipment. We strongly recommend that you have your new puppy checked by your veterinarian as soon as possible after the sale. This is for the health and security of your puppy. Replacement of puppy will be made if (with the next available litter), the following requirements are met. 1) The puppy is declared to be in a life threatening condition bby a licensed veterinarian withing 5 (business) days of receipt of the puppy from ailments that were contracted while in our (JDJ Kennels) care, but that did not show up in the initial health exam(s). No puppy will be replaced without a written copy of the veterinarian's report being submitted to JDJ Kennels. 2) A life-threatening genetic defect is detected within the first year of the puppy's life. Again a written copy of the vet's report must be submitted to JDJ Kennels. After purchase, the buyer is responsible for the care and maintenance of their new addition. Any and all veterinary expenses are the sole responsibility of the buyer. JDJ Kennels does not uarantee against hypoglycemia, or other common problems such as diarrhea, wormy stool, ear mites, or external parasites. (Please remember that we treat vigorously against all parasites, both internal and external). No guarantees will be given as to size, color, quality or fertility. Puppies are susceptible to pneumonia, and other infections due to drafts, cold/hot temperatures, etd. They are vulnerable to viral infections including Parvo and Corona Virus. All the above mentioned minor and major problems need to be checked bby your veterinarian and his/her advice for treatment should be followed. We raise small breeds. Please remember that our puppies are used to being "free fed". In other words, we keep both feed and water in front of our dogs, day and night. Please do not withold food from your puppy as a means to try to "potty train". The smaller the puppy, the less able it will be to withstand the withholding of food/water. Please be sure that your new puppy can see its food and water at all times (night light is recommended at night). JDJ Kennels is not responsible for accidents that occur after the puppy id delivered to you. This means if you drop your puppy, we are not responsible, etc. You will be provided with a health record, litter papers and unless otherwise specified, a pedigree at the time of purchase for your new puppy. Again, we strongly recommend that you take your new puppy to the veterinarian for a "well baby" check-up. Your veterinarian will be able to advise you on the appropriate vaccination/deworming schedule that will be of maximum benefit to your new puppy. A puppy represents a long-term investment. Small breeds sometimes live 12 to 15 years or even longer. Proper health care will increase the life expectancy of your new companion and bring you years of enjoyment. Please be prepared to care for your new puppy and to see to its needs. A puppy's needs are not unlike your own. It will require food, water, shelter and to be loved and nurtured as well as medical attention when it is sick. The smaller the puppy, the more fragile it may be. Any know health problems will be clearly stated on the purchase agreement before purchase. (These will include loose knees, cloudy eyes, uncorrected hernias, etc) By signing my name below, I acknowledge that I am the Buyer and that I have read and received a copy of this purchase agreement including my puppy's health record and the Guarantee of Good Health which was verbally stated to me by the Seller. Known Health Problems (will not be covered by the health guarantee)_____________________________ _____________________________________________________ |
